Groton Continues to Take Care of Business in Win vs Brooks

JV Girls Tennis continued their strong season with a resoudning win at Brooks on Wednesday, going 9-3 in total sets. Eliza and Grace/Caroline quickly deafeated their opponents, and Emily and Cornelia won their first sets without trouble as well. While the second set went to a tiebreaker, Emily retained control of the match and snuffed out her opponent 7-1 to win another point for the team. Iris/Annie played a long and tough first set, losing 5-7, but with the promise of food when they were done, the duo dispatched their opponents with ease (food will be brought to matches from now on). At 1st Singles, Lola was unable to secure a point for Groton, but gained valuable experience playing a squash player who only sliced at the ball. Despite the result, by the end of the match she had learned how to read her opponent's spin and adjust accordingly.
