Arrows Over Zebras

Tough Road Loss for Groton
On a beautiful day in Dedham, Groton played perennial power St. Sebastian's to a competitive 7-5 loss. In the 1st quarter, Seb's struck first but Groton managed to even the score at 1's, only to have the hosts tally once more to go up, 2-1. Seb's chipped away in the 2nd quarter, outscoring Groton, 3-0, to enjoy a 5-1 halftime gap. With two goals in the 3rd, Seb's seemed to be putting the game away. Not to be. A determined Zebra squad refused to yield, scoring once in the 3rd and thrice in the 4th, essentially winning the 2nd half, 4-2. Alas, it wasn't enough to overcome the formidable Arrows. Vth form, 3-sport varsity athlete (and midfielder) Henry Hodde was all over the field for us, while our defense contained the well-known Sebastian's offense. Thank you to the parents for the sideline support and post-game edible goodies. Up next: LA, Thayer, RL
