Another Nice Win versus Middlesex

Peter Fry
We got off to a fast start in the opening minutes of this game and headed into half-time with an encouraging (though perhaps too encouraging) 15-4 lead. Middlesex played better in the second half, and though we never surrendered the lead, we let them get within four points of us with just a few minutes left on the clock. Fortunately, a few players stepped up and rose to the occasion. Second Former Ziggy Bereday had a great game, leading our scoring effort with a dozen points, including a super three-pointer at the beginning of the second half. In typical fashion, Alex Brown had more steals and rebounds than we could possibly count and also contributed 10 points of his own to the Groton cause. Noah Bay scored four points, Malcolm Fry sank 3 helpful free-throws, and Kyle Toce also added a point. This victory brings us to a 7-7 record for the season, so a win at rival St. Mark's on Wednesday would, in a word, be HUGE. Go Zebras!
