Offense in Overdrive

Peter Fry
In what was by far our most productive offensive performance all season, the Boys' Thirds Basketball team put 62 points on the scoreboard this afternoon against our neighbors from down the road.  But what was more meaningful than the cumulative tally was the fact that ten different players contributed to the scoring effort today -- a record for us this winter.  Fourth Former Noah Bay was absolutely on fire today: he scored 14 points from all kinds of angles and played tenacious defense whenever he was on the court.  As usual, Alex Brown had a bunch of steals which helped him add 13 points of his own to our total.  Third Former Jack Wang had a season-high 9 points.  Second Former Malcolm Fry also scored 9 points.  Other scorers included Hugh Carlin (4 points), Ziggy Bereday (4 points), Patty Eldredge (3 points), Carlos Soto (2 points), Luke Romano (2 points), Josh Golden (2 points), and A. J. Colarusso (2 points).  Isaiah Desrosiers played his best game of the season, grabbing a big rebound and getting possession of at least two loose balls in a way that helped build our team's momentum.  Kyle Toce played excellent defense throughout the game. And thanks to non-stop grit, Luke Romano had several rebounds that enabled us to keep possession of the ball.  What a great way to begin our final week of the season.  On the road at Middlesex tomorrow.
