Puck rallies back for big win

The Pucksters picked up one of their biggest wins of the season with a thrilling come from behind win over a strong and talented Brooks squad. The game did not start off as desired as Puck was immediately back on their heels from the openeing face-off. Bad decisions with puck movement would be our theme for the day and the team was quickly down 1-0 off an in zone turnover. Puck was able to capitalize on its first power play of the game as Robbie Long netted his first of the day. Not to be content with prosperity the squad's turnovers continued we found ourselves down 3-1.
in the strangest sequence of the season, Puck had a successful penalty shot disallowed. To the team's credit they used this as a spark and took over the game. Before the second period ended Robbie picked up goal #2 two on the day and Puck trailed 3-2 after two periods.
The Pucksters came out flying in the third and immediately gained a one goal advantage on strikes by Russell Thorndike and Robbie's hat trick goal. The hosts rallied back to tie and with most games vs Brooks OT looked like a sure bet. Then Connor Hall turned on the jets, taking a nice wide-wing feed from Russell, turning the defender and going upstairs to break the deadlock. Brooks pulled their goalie and stormed the Puck net. Seamus, Brent, Russell, Robbie and Connor along with Mike Pelletier in the net kept them at bay, until we took a penalty. Not be denied on the day, the puck was poked free to Connor, who sealed the W with an empty net goal.
Great netminding on the day from Tyler Bowden followed by Pelletier.
