Closer Than That

Nobles was certainly the better team today, but perhaps not by as large a margin as the final score implies. The Groton players made a determined run at their more experienced opponents and showed the great improvement they've made so far this season. Only Tyler Weisberg managed to put a point on the team scoreboard but Garrett Johnson, Gabe Scholl and Aaron Jin all came extremely close before losing long, tight fifth games. Despite the lopsided final score, this was a strong showing against a very good Nobles team.
