This was a close contest that included some terrific matches. Gabe Scholl, Aaron Jin and Tyler Weisberg all won close first games and went on to take their matches but the battles were uphill on the other courts. Walker Davey stretched a very strong, experienced opponent to five games but wasn't quite able to pull off the upset.
