Groton Battles Back to Beat KUA
After a slow first period and falling behind 1-0, Tina Scalese '26 found the back of the net midway through the second to tie things up at 1-1. However, a late second period goal gave KUA the lead heading into the final frame. The Zebras were relentless and continued battling and winning loose pucks - when Kiely Murphy '25 buried a net front battle to tie the game.
With only 30 seconds left in the third, Scalese once again skated her way through two KUA defensemen and buried the game winner and her second of the game.
Outstanding performances were all over the ice - Sydney Nelson '26 on D, Jaelyn Trudell '25, and Veronika Hadamovsky '24 picking up another win for the Zebras.
The GVH team gets back to work on Monday evening as they prep for their first road game of the year at Tilton on Wednesday afternoon.
