Zebras Win Opener!

Groton traveled to Concord NH for its first game of the season and came home with an impressive 53-21 win. Leading the Lady Zebras in scoring were Calie Messina '22 with 18 points, Katie Resendiz '22 with 17, and  Jojo Sulmasy '23 with 10 points. Hannah Gold '22 played her usual stifling defense and unselfish play and in her first varsity start Grace Janusz '24 chipped in with 4 points and 4 rebounds. Newcomer Nina Rutledge also contributed with 4 points and 4 offensive rebounds. The Groton defense had a total of 16 steals, Resendiz (6), Messina (5), Gold (4), and Janusz (1).

Next up, Groton hosts class AA and league opponent Rivers on Wednesday 12/8/21.
