Director of GRACE
Cort arrived at Groton in 2001, after serving as Director of Admission at Applewild School in Fitchburg, MA. Groton's Director of Enrollment Management and the director of GRACE (GRoton Accelerate Challenge Enrich), a month-long, residential summer program for the school's rising (Fourth Formers) sophomores. Along with these leadership responsibilities, he is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, an Upper School dorm affiliate, a faculty advisor, and head coach of boys junior varsity tennis and ice hockey. Cort is also the founder and commissioner of the Groton School Evening Softball league (GESL), a coed, intramural league that takes place each spring. He lives on the edge of the Groton campus, in a house that abuts conservation land, with his wife and three children. The setting reminds him of his favorite state, Vermont, where he spends a good deal of time when he is not working. His primary interest these days is watching his kids play sports, and he also enjoys reading, hiking, skiing, and playing golf.
