Frequently Asked Questions

How do I log in?
Enter your email address to receive further instructions. If your email address is not accepted, please contact Allison MacBride for help. Note: After initially logging in, your information will be saved and you will not need to log in again.

Can I edit or hide my personal information displayed in the app?
Yes, click “Update My Profile” at the bottom of your record to request the specific information that you would like to hide. You may request that your phone number be hidden, while other information remains visible. Please note that regardless of your privacy settings, your name and form year will display in the app.

How can I update my profile information in the mobile app?
Click “Update My Profile” at the bottom of your record and insert the requested changes. Your changes will be forwarded to the Alumni Office, and we will update your profile. To protect the alumni database, you cannot change contact information directly in the mobile app in real time. To suggest an update for a fellow Groton formmate, friend, or family member, click the “Suggest an Update” button at the bottom of their profile.

Using the directory: Can I view a list of my formmates?
Yes, simply enter your form year in the search field of the directory. Full form lists are displayed, including deceased members. Form lists cannot be printed for security purposes.

Can I email or call another alum directly from the app?
Yes. While in the directory, tap the email address or phone number.

How do I connect the app with my LinkedIn account?
Click the yellow “Login to LinkedIn for enhanced profiles” button. Once you are logged in, you can view information that alumni have chosen to include on their personal LinkedIn profiles, along with the number of connections you have in common. You can directly connect with other Groton alumni by clicking the yellow LinkedIn button to add or invite them to LinkedIn. Any information that is provided by LinkedIn will appear on the profile screen with the LinkedIn icon to the right. Don’t forget to list Groton School in your education information and to connect with our Groton School Alumni LinkedIn Group.

When using the Nearby tool with the map, how do I locate alumni somewhere besides my current location?
Click the magnifying glass in the bottom right corner of the map. This will allow you to enter a specific town, state, country, or address. Zoom out by pinching two fingers together on the screen and trail one finger to the desired area on the map. Red “G” pins represents the location of alumni.

When using the map, how do I know who is in the area and in my form?
Click the list button in the upper righthand corner. This will generate a list of the alumni in the area, sorted by year.

How can I see events in my area?
Click the Events icon. The school calendar is the default, but you can also select the Alumni icon at the bottom of the screen to view the Alumni calendar.
