Day 6 - Working With Our Families
Today was the second full day with our host families. In the morning, we all helped out our Peruvian parents with their jobs. Some of us worked in the markets, did construction, helped around the households, and worked in the garden. After we returned to our homestays for traditional Peruvian dishes like ají de gallina and lomo saltado. Then we had free time where some of us met up with other students and visited the markets and bought some mementos. We had a quick reunion at Tumy House, where we left to go to the nearby school to teach the kids chess, soccer, bracelet making, and lacrosse. Then we had a group reunion where we played Imposter as a whole group. Now we are looking forward to having some free time to walk around before we go to our homestays for dinner. Gotta go and catch up with my friends!
