Due to injuries in the last year, I will not be returning to girls varsity soccer… as a player.
Groton offers an amazing opportunity for Upper Schoolers who want to be part of a varsity team but, for any number of reasons, cannot. These are our team managers.
I chose to come back to girls soccer this year as a manager because of how much I love the team and coaching staff. It was my first family at Groton. I am so thankful for all the support and reassurance that they have given me during my time here, and wanted to give something back. As a manager, I have certain responsibilities before and after practice, as well as on game days. I carry equipment, fill water bottles, and film games. I can still hang out with the team before and after practice, go to team dinners, travel on the buses to away games, and look after our team mascot–Missy the pit bull.
I am so excited for my new role on the team and look forward to cheering on my girls at every game. Thank you, Groton soccer.
