Perfect Play On a Perfect Day
Sunshine, a light breeze, and positive vibes—the perfect recipe for a day of tennis. The Groton girls ventured down to Rhode Island for a lovely bout with St. George's, and they came home with a victory!
Doubles started with excitement as Tina and Fiona found themselves down 1-6 in a set to 8. Tough as nails and steady as can be, they stampeded back for a thrilling 8-6 victory! Groton would win all three doubles points to take a commanding lead.
The Zeebs kept rolling in singles. The ocean air brought the girls to life as they had one of their best performances of the year. All six singles matches would comfortably go Groton's way, and the team rolled home with a well-earned 9-0 win.
Despite being the farthest match from home, Groton fans were out in full force. Thank you to all the parents and friends of the program who came out to watch.
