"Looking" by Kevin Pomerleau

October 14 through November 17, 2019

Kevin Pomerleau, an artist/printmaker from West Springfield, Massachusetts, brings works representing contemporary textiles to the Brodigan Gallery. Inspired by spaces throughout Western Massachusetts, the textiles are represented "both literally and as exaggerated motifs from my imagination," according to Mr. Pomerleau.

"My intention is to give the viewer a glimpse of these intimate instances without ever letting them fully enter the scenario," he said. "This work is my pursuit to understand the life that has come before me as well as prepare myself for what I have yet to learn."

The artist has shown his works at various locations, including at the International Print Center in New York. He currently is an administrator and curator for the Art Salon and a shop technician at Zea Mays Printmaking, both in Northhampton, Massachusetts.
