The tuition-free, independent school serves economically disadvantaged children and children who have been abused and neglected. The school's trustees have included several Groton graduates, including Zack Gund '89, Peter Keating '81, Eloise Lawrence '91, Bill Oates '61, Stephen Pellegrino '90, and Bill Polk '58. John Finley '88 is the founding head of school.
Each summer, rising seventh and eighth graders from Epiphany School
spend a month at Groton School for a program that balances serious academics and fun. During their time on campus, Epiphany students are counseled and mentored by current Groton School students, who devote much of their summers to sharing their own love of learning with these younger students.
Groton School is proud to share its facilities with Epiphany and to support this important program, and the Groton community is grateful for the opportunities for growth this offers Groton students.
