JV Coach Ron Mazzaferro brings deep experience to the court: he served as head coach of Groton's varsity boys basketball program for nine years, retiring after an exciting 2011–12 tournament-qualifying season. Prior to joining Groton, Mazz had been head basketball coach at Leominster High School for 25 years. He coached such legends as University of Maryland assistant Scott Spinelli and the late Cleveland Cavaliers assistant coach Mark Osowski. He is a member of the MBCA 300+ win club.

 

Having a player-coaching philosophy of “fair-firm-fun,” the JV coaches strive to develop a team that plays good basketball and improves as the season progresses.
