Parents Weekend 2009
On behalf of the Groton School Parents Association, I would like to welcome you to the parent section of our website. Here you will find information about the extended community of Groton parents and ways that parents can become involved in the life of the School. All parents who have children currently enrolled at the School are members of the Parents Association. We offer many opportunities for participating at the School, from attending discussion groups on topics of interest to volunteering to help in a variety of school programs and activities. Please look through the list of Parent Volunteer Opportunities and sign up to volunteer or learn more!
Parents Weekend will be held this year on October 30 to November 1 and is a wonderful opportunity for parents to spend a few days experiencing life on campus. On this weekend, we have the chance to meet with most of our children’s teachers, hear the headmaster speak about the School and its goals, and get to know the parents of our kids’ friends. It is a highlight of the year, and all Groton parents are encouraged to attend.
As parents, we support the School’s mission through our volunteer efforts, our support of the School's programs and our active engagement in Groton activities on- and off-campus. All parents are encouraged to participate, and I believe that you will find the community of parents to be interesting, welcoming, and dedicated to the School.
